After a great week at 'The Loudhailer Studios' in Manchester, we have 12 scorching tracks down! - all organic, analogue and groovin' in that ZZ Top style that EL VATO are becoming known for. Huge thanks have to go out to Deni who managed to really capture our sound and feel perfectly. Col will be laying down extra bass tracks for that low-down grunt and his vocals before everything flies over to Maine, USA for Arlo to work his magic with those Pinecaster guitars and his Texan influenced vocals. Watch this space for more up to the minute details and release info.

EL VATO will be recording tracks for the debut CD this coming August. The mixture of brand new and old songs will be recorded in Manchester England, and mixed in Maine USA. Watch this space for more details.

Thanks to everyone who came out to support us at our two gigs over the weekend - we hope you had as much fun as we did!. We must especially thank all the bleary eyed fans that came to our 11am show on Sunday at the Cambridge Rock Festival, and stayed afterwards to let us know how much they enjoyed the set.
Also big thanks must go to Mark Jeeves from Planet Rock Radio who interviewed the band after the show for broadcast in the next few weeks (details here as soon as we get them), and to all the folks at Radio Caroline for their enthusiasm after the performance and the plan to add EL VATO to their playlists asap!

New show announced!!!
EL VATO will now be playing at Manchester's Night & Day Cafe on Friday August 17th at 8pm.
Admission is £5 per head with a flyer (£6 without) which you can collect on the night at the door.

EL VATO to play at 'Rockinbeerfest'!!!
EL VATO will be playing at the Cambridge Rock festival 'Rockinbeerfest' in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire on Sunday August 19th.
We will be doing a 45min set to start the day at 11am, so make sure you get down there early so as not to miss out! Big thanks to Dave Roberts at the festival for slotting us in at late notice.

New website under construction
We'll be adding to this website over the next few weeks to get everything working as it should, but we prefer making a lot of noise than doing websites so bear with us!
In the meantime you can check out some of the bits that are up and running like the amusing image gallery - look very closely to find us!
The video page has some clips of Arlo doing what he does best, so check them out for a sneak preview of the kind of thing EL VATO will be doing. We hope to be able to shoot some usable footage at the Cambridge Rock Festival and possibly at rehearsals in August for inclusion here.
